A frequency converter provides individual adjustment of the product intake into the conditioner. The dosing screw has an overflow protection system which automatically stops the conveyor if the product overflows. All the parts with product contact are made from stainless steel for maximum cleanliness and hygiene.

The AWILA® conditioner: The conditioner ahead of the pellet press is designed as a continuous paddle mixer. The addition of heat and moisture in the form of steam conditions the meal to be pressed, making it is easy to press and ensuring that it creates robust, abrasion-resistant pellets. The addition of steam also helps to hygienise the product. The mixer paddles are adjustable, allowing the meal retention time in the conditioner to be altered. All the parts with product contact are made from stainless steel for maximum cleanliness and hygiene.

The AWILA® pellet press: The pellet press has an extra-stable base to guarantee very quiet operation. The material to be pressed enters the pressing chamber through an axial inlet and is evenly distributed across the full width of the die. It is then compressed between the die and the press roller at a rapidly increasing rate to produce optimum compaction, and passes into the press channel. This process is repeated several times until the desired density/firmness is achieved. The column of material which finally leaves the press is cut off the die by scraper knives and the finished pellets fall through the outlet into the pellet cooler.
